One day you may be buying a yoga mat that may take you to the Olympics. You choose your yoga mat bag, your eco friendly yoga mat, and you compete around the world.

I recently found this article regarding a 25-year-old Nicole Stroud, instructor and owner of Bikram Yoga Paradise Valley in northeast Phoenix.

This is my favorite quote from the article:

“People who practice other styles of yoga are also interested in getting it into the Olympics, Stroud said, though it is mostly associated with Bikram practitioners because the founder’s wife, Rajashree Choudhury, brought the competitions to the U.S. from India and competitions are largely organized by those who practice Bikram yoga.”
